On the afternoon of February 20, reporters visited the Aerospace Huanyu UAV Composite Material Manufacturing Project at Zigong Aviation Industrial Park and learned that the factory's steel structure main body has been completed, with the auxiliary support building already topped out. The project is expected to enter trial operation in June upon completion.
The Aerospace Huanyu UAV Composite Material Manufacturing Project covers 132 mu (8.8 hectares) with a total investment of 200 million yuan and a floor area of approximately 50,000 square meters. It includes UAV assembly workshops and auxiliary facilities, along with manufacturing, assembly, and testing production lines. The project leader stated that during its advancement, the company deeply appreciated the "Zigong warmth" and "Gongjing speed." The company will spare no effort to ensure timely completion and, in the future, focus on "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" development—expanding market presence, driving R&D innovation, and accelerating production—to help establish Zigong Aviation Industrial Park as a national UAV industry hub.
In recent years, leveraging the transformative development of the aviation industry, Zigong has mobilized citywide resources to build Zigong Aviation Industrial Park, now the only provincial-level development zone in Sichuan focused on UAVs and general aviation. By 2023, the park had attracted 56 key enterprises and institutions, including AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Group, AVIC UAV, Tengden Technology, CETC Special Aircraft, and Civil Aviation Flight University of China, with an industrial scale exceeding 10 billion yuan. The agglomeration effect of the aviation industry is rapidly emerging, injecting strong vitality and momentum into the city's transformation and upgrading.
