Stator Vanes
Stator vanes are fixed components installed in the C-duct of the thrust reverser nacelle on aircraft engines.During forward thrust, the stator vanes are concealed by the translating cowls and blocked by blocker doors on the inner side. When reverse thrust is activated, the cowl slides aft and the blocker doors deploy, exposing the stator vanes. The angled blades on the vanes help redirect the airflow forward and outward, generating reverse thrust to decelerate the aircraft.
