People's Daily Online, Changsha, July 13 (Reporter Lin Luofu) — Yesterday, the "Integration·Co-Chain Intelligence·Leadership" China Aviation Industry Chain and Supply Chain Development Conference (Hunan Session) was held in Hunan Xiangjiang New District. Over 70 leading aviation enterprises, including Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) and Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC), alongside local companies like Boyun New Materials and Aerospace Huanyu, gathered to discuss deep integration and collaborative development of aerospace industry and supply chains, aiming to advance high-quality industrial growth.
The aviation industry, a strategic emerging sector driving national defense, technological innovation, and socioeconomic development, is pivotal in cultivating new quality productive forces. Leveraging Changsha's unique strengths—home to China's sole R&D bases for small/medium aero engines and aircraft landing systems, as well as institutions like National University of Defense Technology with robust aerospace and BeiDou innovation platforms—Hunan Xiangjiang New District focuses on aerospace and BeiDou industry chains. By enhancing project investment and fostering industrial ecosystems, the district has steadily elevated its aerospace and BeiDou capabilities.
Statistics show that over 70% of Changsha's aerospace enterprises cluster in Xiangjiang New District, which now hosts over 300 related institutions. In 2023, the district's core aerospace and enterprises achieved an output value exceeding 20 billion yuan, a 15% year-on-year increase.
"We aim to deepen collaborative and innovative partnerships through this conference, transforming the district's aerospace and BeiDou sector into a trillion-yuan industrial cluster. We remain committed to supporting enterprises with an optimal ecosystem for aerospace development, ensuring confidence in investment and operations," said Zhang Yi, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Hunan Xiangjiang New District (Changsha High-Tech Zone).
During the opening ceremony, the AVIC Equipment Supplier Management Committee awarded supply chain qualification certificates to five local enterprises: Qilin Xin'an, Changhang Power, Aisen Equipment, Kezhong Brothers, and Tianfu New Materials. Framework cooperation agreements were signed among AVIC International Supply Chain Technology Co., Ltd., Changsha Aerospace (Including BeiDou) Industry Chain Office, Hunan Xiangjiang New District Aerospace and BeiDou Industry Chain Office, Changsha Huxiang Civil-Military Integration Promotion Center, and Bank of Changsha.
Additionally, the Xiangjiang New District Commerce and Market Supervision Bureau signed investment agreements with seven entities: Central South University Frontier Science Center, Yuelu Mountain Dahecheng Company, Xingguang Yuyi, Yixuntong, Tianfu New Materials, Dalian Kunda, and Dingxin Huilian.
In keynote speeches, representatives from Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd., AECC South Industry Co., Ltd., AVIC International Supply Chain Technology Co., Ltd., Hexagon AIR Aviation Institute, Changsha XinHang Wheel & Brake Co., Ltd., and Bank of Changsha shared insights on industry trends, enterprise demands, and financial support, delivering substantive content to attendees.
The conference established a high-level platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration in Changsha's aviation sector, fostering in-depth exchanges between upstream and downstream enterprises. It holds significant importance for integrating large, medium, and small enterprises within the aviation industry chain and deepening open supply chain cooperation.
The afternoon's specialized matchmaking sessions, focusing on "Aerospace Composite Manufacturing" and "Advanced CNC Machining for Aviation," highlighted Changsha's aerospace development landscape, Xiangjiang New District's industrial advantages, infrastructure, policies, and resources. User representatives like AVIC outlined procurement needs, while local suppliers including Boyun New Materials, Aerospace Huanyu, Zhuochuang Advanced Materials, and Bank of Changsha presented their capabilities.

Prior to the conference, participants toured Zoomlion Heavy Industry and the Xiangjiang New District Urban Exhibition Hall, gaining firsthand insights into the district's investment environment and industrial strengths.
