Participation in Large Aircraft Development
Securities Times Reporter:
Please introduce Aerospace Huanyu to our readers.

Li Jiaxiang, Board Secretary of Aerospace Huanyu:
Our company operates along two main lines across four business segments. The first is the communication line: we initially focused on spaceborne products, primarily satellite antennas. Our current products include large-aperture stationary communication systems, emphasizing lightweight design, high automation, and multi-band reuse.

The second line is composite materials: we specialize in composite components for UAVs, early warning aircraft, and transport aircraft, as well as composite molding process equipment. Through our joint venture with COMAC—Hunan Feiyu Aviation Equipment Co., Ltd. (the only joint venture between COMAC and a private enterprise in China)—we concentrate on aviation process equipment.

Securities Times Reporter:
Are your composite material applications primarily focused on domestic large aircraft?

Li Jiaxiang, Board Secretary of Aerospace Huanyu:
Yes. We have long supported composite molding process equipment development for the C919, C929, and ARJ21 programs. Starting our collaboration with COMAC in 2010, we secured our first contract after two years of bidding in 2012. Since then, we have jointly developed high-complexity composite tooling and molding equipment, and now independently handle R&D and manufacturing for such advanced equipment.

In 2013, Aerospace Huanyu undertook the development of composite process equipment for the C919's horizontal tail and wing box sections, entering the field of aircraft assembly jigs and production lines for COMAC's Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. We have consistently supported critical product development throughout the large aircraft program.

Guided by the *Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement* between the Hunan Provincial Government and COMAC, and with support from provincial and municipal authorities, Aerospace Huanyu and COMAC established Hunan Feiyu Aviation Equipment Co., Ltd. on December 29, 2019. This joint venture has rapidly advanced the aviation process equipment sector.

Li Wanxiao, Chairman of Aerospace Huanyu:
Now in its fourth year of operation, Feiyu has achieved steady revenue growth and enhanced competitiveness through state-backed projects and team development. We aim to further contribute to the batch production and R&D of domestic large aircraft.

Breaking Through Key Composite Material Technologies for Civil Aircraft
Aerospace process equipment expertise is cultivated through iterative refinement across multiple successful projects.

In 2015, Aerospace Huanyu conquered numerous technical challenges—including composite molding processes, structural design, hermetic welding of special materials, and collaborative debugging with advanced manufacturing systems—through the C919 full-scale composite wing box process equipment project. This established our capability to develop semi-automated production lines for large aerospace composite wings.

Through years of collaborative R&D with clients, tailored to aerospace composite material requirements and production environments, we have developed proprietary technologies.

Securities Times Reporter:
Could you share insights on translating scientific achievements into industrial applications?

Li Jiaxiang, Board Secretary of Aerospace Huanyu:
The aerospace sector is strategic, sensitive, and long constrained by foreign technology blockades. Our R&D prioritizes domesticating high-difficulty, customized solutions. Once developed, these products meet robust market demand.

Aviation Industry Growth Through Marketization
Securities Times Reporter:
How has the emergence of private aerospace companies under recent policy reforms created new opportunities?

Li Jiaxiang, Board Secretary of Aerospace Huanyu:
The rise of private aerospace integrators reflects market expansion. While state-owned enterprises previously dominated, cost competitiveness now drives private sector entry. For us, this presents both opportunities and challenges—demanding stricter cost control and efficiency improvements.

Li Wanxiao, Chairman of Aerospace Huanyu:
With capabilities enhanced by our new 370-mu (24.7-hectare) industrial park in Hunan and 132-mu (8.8-hectare) facility in Zigong, we are positioned to accelerate growth in aviation technologies and product development.
