China News Service,Changsha,January 14(By Zhang Xueying,Fu Jingyi)—Discussions on aerospace dreams, artificial intelligence, and cathode materials took center stage at the inaugural"Deputies'Passage"event of the Hunan Two Sessions in Changsha on January 14.Multiple provincial legislators drew from their personal experiences to share stories of how technological innovation has empowered enterprise development.

"Hi everyone! This is Chang’e-6,currently digging for soil samples on the Moon."On June 3,2024,China’s Chang’e-6 lunar probe sparked widespread discussion with its first"from-the-Moon"social media post.Little known to the public, however,is that since the Yutu rover missions, all lunar photos and data collected by China’s lunar probes have been transmitted back to Earth via antenna systems developed by Hunan Aerospace Huanyu Communication Technology Co.,Ltd.(hereafter"Hunan Aerospace Huanyu").

Over the past year,China has deployed over 200 commercial satellites into orbit, with their data successfully applied in critical sectors such as urban safety, emergency response and disaster relief, and infrastructure monitoring, advancing global disaster prevention and mitigation systems.Concurrently, the country is establishing satellite-based internet networks that offer broader coverage than traditional communication systems.Whether in deserts, oceans,or airborne environments, people can now access internet connectivity comparable to home broadband experiences.

Hunan,a landlocked province with no coastal access or border advantages, turns skyward for global reach,"declared Jiang Hui,a deputy to the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress and head of the Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Department at Hunan Aerospace Huanyu Communication Technology Co.,Ltd.Over recent years, the company’s aerospace engineers have focused on making space technology more affordable, slashing prices for flagship products like data transmission antennas by over 60%.

In October 2024,Hunan established its own"satellite factory,"with an annual production capacity of 200 small satellites ranging from 50 to 500 kilograms. The facility covers the entire production chain including satellite assembly, integration, and testing, while also offering customized services tailored to client requirements."With confidence, this'path to space exploration'will continue to extend further into the cosmos,"declared Jiang Hui with full enthusiasm.Currently leading research and development efforts,he is focused on breakthrough innovations for the wings and engine core components of China's next-generation wide-body passenger aircraft, the C929.

Technological innovation has also proven rewarding for Xiao Xingli,a deputy to the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and Chairman of Hunan Xingfu Shidai New Energy Co.,Ltd.He likened technological innovation to a"master chef,"emphasizing that"even the finest raw materials require a master chef's expertise to transform them into culinary excellence.
In Xiao Xingli's view,Hunan holds an internationally leading position in the field of cathode materials, particularly in specific product segments such as high-voltage lithium cobalt oxide.Meanwhile, the province's approximately 16 million kilowatts of exploitable wind energy resources provide a continuous momentum for the development of its new energy industry.

"We have invested over RMB10 million to establish an advanced battery material R&D center and the Xingfu Times Research Institute, which focuses on innovation in product process technology. These initiatives are dedicated to exploring and achieving breakthroughs in cutting-edge battery technologies,"said Xiao Xingli.
The company plans to launch semi-solid-state batteries,Compared to solid-state batteries of equivalent size, the semi-solid-state battery demonstrates higher energy density, which is expected to enhance the driving range of new energy vehicles by 17%while substantially reducing charging durations.
Xiao Xingli remarked,"With the growing concentration of new energy enterprises in Hunan and the increasingly sophisticated industrial chain, the new energy sector is poised to emerge as a new trillion-yuan pillar industry in the province, injecting robust momentum into local development."

LüXinwei,Deputy to the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and Vice President of Wasion Group Co.,Ltd.,has drawn from the company’s three-decade development the understanding that innovation serves as the wellspring of sustained corporate vitality.Wasion Group,a pioneer in the energy metering industry, developed China’s first multifunctional electric energy meter and 0.2S-class high-precision electric energy meter.

"With a total investment of RMB 156 million since 2013,Wesion has modernized its research infrastructure and manufacturing systems. The implementation of AI-driven predictive maintenance through production data analysis has achieved more than 80%efficiency gains,"stated LüXinwei, using the common"Lyu"spelling alternative for Chinese names in international contexts.

"Reflecting on his initial term as a deputy to the Hunan Provincial People's Congress,LüXinwei recalled conducting frequent research tours to electronics enterprises across the region, where he observed systemic inefficiencies in production management.During the 2023 Hunan Two Sessions,he submitted the Proposal on Strengthening Informatization Innovation Platforms for Changsha's Manufacturing Sector, urging accelerated transformation from'manufacturing'to'smart manufacturing'to reduce costs and boost efficiency.Shortly thereafter,Hunan province unveiled the Hunan Intelligence-Empowers-Enterprises Action Plan, deploying new-generation information technologies to drive digital transformation across industries."

"China's manufacturing revolution unfolds at Lü's inspection sites:5G-enabled remote control stations replace manual operations, collaborative robots achieve 99.98%process accuracy, while cognitive automation systems preemptively resolve 73%of production anomalies. This tech transformation, accelerated by Hunan's provincial AI adoption targets, demonstrates how industrial large models could add$230 billion to China's smart manufacturing output by 2030,"analysts observed, citing Lü's advocacy for systemic integration of neural networks in production workflows.(End)
